Youth Group, Church, And High School Team Retreat Centers In Eastern Idaho

A retreat for students is not a hotel ballroom and not a 200-bed camp. Here is what a private lodge near Rexburg can hold, and what it cannot.

A youth group, church, or high school team of up to 40 can take Three Peaks Lodge and have the whole property. It sits on 100 acres in Saint Anthony, about 15 minutes from Rexburg. The students sleep here. Nobody rides a bus back to a hotel at nine.

It's a house with a bunkroom, not a camp that sleeps 200. Ten bedrooms, a bunkroom with eight bunk beds that sleeps 16, six bathrooms, a commercial kitchen, and playrooms with a climbing wall. If you need a bed for every kid in a group of 55 or 80, say so in the first email. The answer will be a day event, or a different building.

Match The Building To The Headcount

Up to 40 overnight, leaders included: the lodge can be the whole retreat. More than 40 who all need a pillow: book a day event from September through May, or arrange the extra beds yourself. Outdoor gatherings go up to 200. Indoor winter events cap at 100. A group that needs a keynote hall and a hotel room for every student should stay in Idaho Falls and accept the commute.

What A Day Here Looks Like

Morning in one room, because the building is yours. Lunch from the commercial kitchen — you cook it, or a caterer does — and everyone sits down together. Afternoon on the property: courts, the pond in season, or a quiet corner for leaders. If you are overnight, the evening is still on site. The program is yours. The shuttle schedule is the thing you get to drop.

Wi-Fi covers the lodge for the slides you actually need. The playrooms give students somewhere to be between sessions. There is one way onto a private property, which matters on a youth weekend.

Two Prices, And They Are Not The Same Product

A day event, September through May, is $2,100 on a weeknight and $2,700 on a weekend. That is eight hours of the venue. It is not three nights of lodging.

Overnight is the lodge rate: $900 a night on fall–spring weekdays and $1,100 on those weekends, with the usual three-night minimum. Forty people on a $900 night is $22.50 a person before food. Holidays are $1,400. Summer overnights are often held for reunions and weddings, and the summer rate is $1,800 when those dates are open. Ask before you build a July budget.

If you want the day-event setup and the beds, say both in the inquiry. Combined quotes are written one at a time.

Days You Can Add Without A Second Hotel

Kelly Canyon is about an hour away when the retreat includes a ski day beginners can survive. The Sand Dunes are about 15 minutes, and the riding stays on the dunes. Rexburg is about 15 minutes for the grocery run. Idaho Falls airport is about 45 if the group is flying. A lot of the best weekends here never leave after they unload. The excursion is a storm day or a reward, not the justification for the trip.

Send Dave two numbers — students, and leaders — plus whether they sleep here and whether meals are cooked or catered. The free checklist is the same list on paper.
